My old roommate has a corvette from that era. My FD was definitely faster, and it definitely requires much less work/repairs than that corvette does. Good lord that thing is always broken (and was on its 2nd engine at 100k).

Thanks for posting all that, Section8. I've got a technical paper on the R26B, the 4-rotor engine used in the Lemans-winning 787B racecar. PM me with your email and I can send you the file, it's a MS Word .doc file.

My car is 10 years old, with 70k miles, and the turbos are working fine. From what I've seen, most RX-7's that don't work correctly are the ones that haven't been maintained well.

That R26B paper is very interesting. It provides ALOT of information I hadn't seen before and I've looked up stuff about the R26B before.

torque, the vette has lots of it, the rx-7 series has..... none of it haha.

he was talking about hwo the people in the magazene were wrong not the turbos failing. I don't even have an FD and I know that it's for engine RPM not for higher and lower speeds.

(oh and to people wondering why I'm posting here, you're cars are way sexier I thought I'd see what you guys talk about some)

that really doesn't explain how myself a "good" driver can pull off a quarter mile time seven tenths faster than a professional driver. like others have said i think its a harder car to launch than the vette.

maybe their driver was not used to the rotary and was scared to break a $33k car by over revving it?

Nice article on the four rotor.

Got some articles from Magazines around '92 featuring FD's.

Couple of group tests, and a long term test.

Would anyone be interested?
