guilty of false info

for some reason I thought the s2k beat the wrx oh well but atleast its a close race. i would put my money stock for stock on the s2k on the track though. your right about the strutters that can't run kind of sad. i think when you sell that pfc you should invest that grand or more like 750 (just messin put down your hair trigger flame gun) and get you a viper. from your post i think you would be very happy with the cojones on the viper. or maybe the c5 i agree they have come a long way - i am thinking about that z06 myself - talk about dollars for hp

u guys are the most naive people, have u ever openened a real magazine nto Crap and Driver or Autoweek or whatever is teh **** that u read. and racign on a street and saying i BEAT someone can be as good as putting my grandma behind the sterring wheel of my FD and me drivign a geo, i will smoke her. i bet most of u cant drive your car at 70% of its limits and here u are braging about how fast this and that is. i unlike some people here drove teh wrx and s2k a few times and own a FD. and here are some FACTS out of the motor trend. this is jan 2002 page 126, 127. for those of u who dont trust me. i am too lazy to look for links of reviews of these cars. but TRSUT me on this one s2k will kill the wrx in any aspect on street or on the track. on the dirt wrx will most likely win though i dont think anyone has taken teh s2k there. oh and btw as far as vette is concerned it is best bang for buck and will smoke both of these cars.

and here is wrx just liek i was saying, 13.8 for s2k and 14.2 for the wrx. if u are thinking that there was someing wrong withteh wrx driver, think again this is the same magazine and if they can do 13.8 with wrx then they can deff drive the wrx to its potential as well... as for slalom time of the s2k 70.1 mph and wrx at 61.4 u can see which car handles better.

So because the "other" magazines run contrary to the point you are trying to make they are somehow "sh&t." Please explain to me why Motor Trend is so much better.

The funny thing is I honestly think an S2000 should beat a WRX most of the time but the cars are dang close. Plus Car & Driver, a magazine I "naively" respect, has the WRX beating the S2k. Therefore I would deduce that it is indeed possible. How can you say it isnt?

ryan i subscribe to most of these magazines, motor trend i think is closer to real life numbers then then other magazines. i am nto sure if car and driver runs those slower times intuitively for general puplic driving the cars under the full potential because most peopel cant run the 13.8 in teh s2k and it does require a skill to drive a car that doesnt have gobs of torque fast. same thing witheth civc si, most people run 16 with a stock one but if u have been practicing or knwo how to launch a car u will be slose to high 15's in teh quarter mile. if u read magazines like grassroots motorsports and others of such sort u will see real racing not what motor trend or car and driver tells u. goign to actaul tracks will have a big impression on u and u will cahnge your opinion on some of these cars. i just think motor trend is the closest to the cars potential, and that is something i rather see instead of few hundreds of second off from what teh car can do..
