I would agree with Fritz that these cars are easy to work on. Most of the major stuff is very well sorted out and easy to access. Sure there's esoteric stuff like the rat's nest. But, what car doesn't have some similar issue?

Cars & Coffee Irvine is different from other cities, the usual turn out are higher end exotics, concept cars, most not road worthy but driven in the wee hours of the morning, weird one offs and really nice vintage vehicles.

The FDs that day, as a group, really made an impression which was surprising.

Please let me know when you guys roll over to Irvine C&C again, I am 5 min from there. I would love to meet up with some local FD owners...

Oh, also local SCCA Autox will be at El Toro during spring / summer 2012. Next event is 3/17 and 4/14. Maybe some of you would like to come out to Autox...

And guess what? It's track worthy too! Every person that walked by my car when I was there asked me about it. Even the instructors at this last track day (and the last four autocrosses) were blown away. We have made a great impression on a lot of people, this car is badass man.

I dont think they are about to explode...(in value) Id say 5-10 more years the going rate will be around 20k due to the rate of inflation and the low rate that came to america.

I disagree but in any case 20K for a car that is gonna be 30 years old (in 10 yrs) speaks volumes for the 7.

I put mine for sale for 12,5 and only got a few bites, the economy is in hard times.

It is a buyers market right now, gotta give it more time.

Quoted for truth...

The market sucked when I bought my rx7, which allowed me to buy a good starting point on a rhd converted rx7, but now putting money into the car is painful looking at what FD's are going for. It makes it that much harder that I dumped 15k+ on the current build after buying the car, but I know when the market comes around it will be worth a lot more than it is now... Items that are not practical vehicles like sports cars always seem to take a big hit when the economy is in the tank. I just don't see rx7 prices blowing up like the Supra market though; too much of a niche vehicle with the rotary engine.
