Well my stock looking Fd doesn't attract to much attention these days. This car would be an entirely different story. The only way I see putting on this kit is if I painted it all black and had I NA 4 rotor under the hood. Exotic looking cars need to also sound exotic. Nothing will touch the sound of a 4 rotor.

Edit: I found a photoshoped version in all black.

Thank god that's not on an RX-7.

Nope not offended. So I guess you felt obligated to speak for him? I can't stand people who post negative comments and don't try to elaborate. I could care less if he like it or not. There have been both negative and positive comments on this thread. It's just like someone claiming that rotory's are **** and can't say why. If I dislike something, I will tell you why I don't like it. We all have brains use them. Besides, he can speak for himself and doesn't need big brother to speak for him.

I have min=xed emotions on it. If it was just some car (not a FD with a body kit) think I would like the car), but knowing it is a body kit on a FD I don't like it.

Thats somewhat how I see it. As if the FD's original platform were a blank piece of paper, and they came up with this kit-car. If its not going to be this radical, I usually don't like body kits because they end up disrupting the natural lines of the FD, while still trying to look like one. This kit looks like it didn't try to mimic the FD, and just went in a direction that resembled an entirely different car all together. Makes for a creative little car in the end IMO.

I love that body kit. But I do agree that it needs to have more under the hood. But instead of a NA 4 rotor I would've thought more of a turbo 4 rotor

veilside should write a book on how to take the most sexy, most beautiful car on the planet and ruin it.I thinkif you want an fd buy an fd, if you like a lotus buy a lotus, if you like a supra buy a supra. dont buy something and transform it, but to each his own.

Wasn't directed at you dude. Someone made a sarcastic comment about how it probably wasn't spy shots and just photos of the car from different car shows.

For all the griping about FF3, there IS one thing to look forward to. NO DAMN LOUIS VUITTON PAINTJOBS!! Or gay purple Eclipse verts with dubs. No gleaming robots on the side of cars either. From those spyshots, the cars actually don't look too embarrasing this time. Hey, I could be wrong, but thats the only positive thing I can tell from spyshots.

Oh, and I love how that 7 looks in all black in that photochop.

Love the Veilside Fortune Kit. It was actually one of the things that drew me to buying an FD--the potential to give it that "exotic" look in a ready-to-order kit.

So who's got $15k to spare?

Personally, I like this pic:

I like the curves of the widebody, but I think they made the rear end of the body look too rounded, and I would have said no to their being air ducts back there.

That, and they covered too much of the tail-lights. I think they should have somehow left the entire tail-light assembly there, but done '99 rounds instead.

Regarding the front:

The headlights...I think they LOOK allright, but I'd never do it. That my opinion. LOOKS good, but I wouldn't do it. Ever.

The front-end itself, bumper-wise, looks awesome. I give the hood a 6.5 outta 10. Scoot being my favorite.

The body lines themselves DO make the car look more like a Lotus, which does make it look cool, but then it's not really an RX-7 anymore. Now, I don't agree with some of the guys here that think 110% stock body lines are perfect, but yes, they DO look good. I am the kinda FD owner that prefers a MILD-looking body kit. I DO like that Vertex kit:

But I HAAAAAAAAAAAAATE front-canards. And the fact that they were painted the same color = GROSSSSS in my opinion. If ANYTHING, have them be carbon fiber. I also think the opening for the intercooler should be larger as well, it should go a little higher up..another 2 inches or so.

The ***-end:

In my opinion: Perfection.

No obscene shapes. Just perfectly round, flared-out appropriately, and just looks clean.

- Those pics ARE in fact from F&F3. I was just reading a post on another local car forum, and somebody posted a whole bunch. If someone wants a link to that thread, I'll post it.

This is all my 2 cents.

- M
