Will an aftermarket FC clutch and flywheel fit on a FD?

I understand that the S5 Turbo II FC, FD and RX8 (FE?) all use the same flywheel. Hopefully someone can confirm or you can do some further research on that looking up part numbers.

Not sure about the clutch but I think they would all be somewhat different since the torque and HP ratings of each are different.

the flywheel might but the clutch no since the fd has a completely different design. fd has a pull type clutch as the fc is a push type.

yes they all use the same flywheel only difference are the weight of each.also the FD transmission comes with the pull type clutch mechanism not the pressure plate it self.

I think there is a conversion for the fd to make it the push style, when i was looking for another clutch there was one that was a push style and had the parts to convert it.

Doesn't that make them different, with different counterweights too?

FD Flywheel N3A1-11-500
FD Front Counter Weight N3A7-11-061

FC Turbo Flywheel N370-11-500
FC Turbo (91) Front Counter Weight N350-11-061
FC Turbo (92) Front Counter Weight N3A7-11-061

FE Flywheel N3Z3-11-50Z
FE Front Counter Weight N3Z1-11-D6X

This would probably be a good option. Being that FD clutch sets are way more in price as compared to a TII. Anymore info you have would be appreciated..

well its almost the same as buying after market flywheel..you got 8 lbs 9lbs 13lbs and 17lbs they all work but their weight is different.
i personally wouldn't install an FC flywheel on my FD but that doesn't mean it can`t work.

OS Giken TS2C Twin Plate Clutch is the clutch i was referring to

http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/OS-G...D3S-RX-7-57208

and here is a guy that installed it in an FD,if u scroll down u can see pics of the pull to push converter. One thing to note is that if you're using a normal single plate clutch you can get higher clamping force and reduced pedal effort with a pull type clutch. But if going to the twin disks they are supposed to provide more clamping force while still being easy on the leg.
