Fans won't stay on

I have a 93 Touring and I thought that the fans were supposed to stay on after I turn the car off and remove the key? It seems like when I first got the car back in September this was the case. Now the fans will only stay on if the key is in the ignition and in the "ON" position. If i take the key out, the fan goes off. Is this a problem, and if so how do I go about fixing it. Oh, and I've heard about the "fan mod" but I thought that was for when the car is running, not after shut down? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

fan mod is just a way for u to turn and shut of your fans anytime you like, whether the car is off or running

for me after my car warms up (76 c) i swich my fans on to medium speed and my water temp just stays at 82-85c

after i pull in to my garage i turn off the car but i keep the car running for 2 minutes atleast depends how hot it was and how long i was driving the car

fan mod is easy, takes 10 min.

If your fans stay on after shut-off (without the "fan mod"), it means your car was running hot as hell. The fans SHOULDN'T be running after shut-off.
