Fans spin at different speeds???
My drivers side fan seemed to spin slower than the pass side fan. Does anyone know if this is normal, bad, or why this could be happening? I bought a new sensor from Pettit Racing to get the fans to come on early. Could this have an effect?
I doubt the thermosensor has anything to do with it. They have different blade counts, so they might have different speeds, I guess I never paid attention. Is it possible the different number of blades make it appear they're going different speeds?
I think that the fan motors are identical. That would mean they should be running at the same speeds. The fans have a different number of blades so they wont create some sort of vibration or gyration. At full speed, I don't think you could see a difference in their apparent speed.
Since thaye do have differnt number of blades they have different resistances and thus will spin and different speeds assuming that the motors are the same. By how much(?) and le Noticeably(?). How are you measuring the rpm, the different number of blabdes will make it seem like they are spinning at differnet speeds.

I have a bad fan
My "slow" fan feel off and now spins no more. I'm so pissed cause it runs so well. It was staying under 200F when standing still, now runs up to about 206F at the hottest. I need to find some new fans. Any suggestion, know anyone with some stock ones for sale or what to get as far as aftermarket?

Well I got a couple of PM's out there and can't wait to get some reply's so I can replace my fans. Hey Banzai my brother and I were very impressed with how easy the motor you built started right up idled. Thanks.
Pm Fritz Flynn, I just bought a set from him that were perfect (looked like new), I think he has a few more sets laying around.
Glad to hear you are impressed with the engine so far, just wait until you get to push it, then you will really love it.

I've bought TONs of stuff off him for my car, he definitely is a great person to get parts from. I'm trying not to think that far in advance
. One step at a time or else I'll just be overwhelmed, lol.
