Fan Mod - Without switch & wiring!
Just noticed it by accident:
I previously noticed after I pulled in to the garage and turned the key off, if I turned it back to radio position the fans kick on.
I had to bleed the lizard real bad and left the fans on, came back and shut the key off...fans stayed on for prolly 10 min!
So basically: After your 30 sec idle cool down, turn key all the way off, then turn to ACC (radio position) and leave on for at least 30 sec, then turn off and pull key out...that's it!

Yeah, that's not exactly why ppl do fan mod though. Most ppl do it so they can manually switch the fans on when they sit in traffic. Nevertheless, it's something that's good to share. Cooling the engine after turning it off will definitely help to prolong the life of all the hoses and electronics underhood.

It will only do that when the underhood temps are higher than a certain degree. If your engine bay is really cool for one reason or another, the fans shouldn't come on when you turn your key to the acc position. i.e. if you were just driving in cold weather and not pushing the car hard.
