fan mod ? already searched

jus had a quick question, i already seached and couldnt find anything. I bought my car with the fan mod switch, i have no PS/AC, i can turn on my fan wenever i want with a push of the AC button but i have to turn on the switch to turn on the air. now that its summer, i have to turn on the air jus to turn on my fans and i don't like it cause i have the switch turned to cold but still get hot air.

i have a switch in the glove compartment that was suppose to be hooked up to the fan but isnt.

is there anyway i can rewire my fans so that i can jus turn it on by pushing the AC button or a switch instead of pushing the AC and turning on the air? cause summer+air on(to turn on fan)=freakin hot as hell

thanks guys

yes! its called the fan mod, the only one you should be doing (well as far as im concerned)! you essentially just ground the fan switchs so you can control low, medium or high. http://rx7.voodoobox.net/howto/fanswitch/fanswitch.html

P.S. Fans should be on low as soon as you turn on car/car warms up.

ok I did this and put a switch on, but somehow it keeps the fan on for 10 mins wen i turn off the car, i don't want it to do that cause iono if it'll drain my battery or not. is there any other way around this? I jus want to control it turning it on/off, speed doesnt matter to me.

thanks

When you shut down the car, wait 30 seconds, and turn off the switch. The fans will run for 10 minutes. If you don't want the fans to run, turn off the switch when you shut down the engine.

Always turn off the switch, or you will run down your battery.
