The engaged air pump clutch, the inner part of its pulley wheel, should be spinning at idle and turn off at 3250 rpm. in the 93 manual it's on page f-121, probably close in the 94 manual.
I will need to smog my car this month, would like to know the best place to get test it. Because most test station would not even look at the car twice if you have modify exhuast.
I only have downpipe and exhuast. I live in Modesto, CA.
Thanks,

Ok so here is what I have done and am still failing - Replaced O2 Sensor, Swaped out Pettit Ecu back to stock, Put stock downpipe and mid pipe back on, replaced spark plugs, oil swap, tested the cat and it all checks out. STILL FAILING!
The car is running to rich. Does anyone know how I can turn down the Fuel Pressure????

Make sure that your air pump is working (as already mentioned). Check to see the pump's clutch (as someone has mentioned) is engaged when idling. You ought to remove the pump's vaccuum/pressure hoses to see that it's actually sucking air in and blowing it back out. Actually, you should first remove the hose/check valve that connects to the cat (while the car is running) and see that air is being pumped out at idle. If not, it could be either the pump, piping, or an issue with your ACV (air control valve). Sorry if I repeated anyone's suggestions

best bet,..I know you have a cat...just wonderin how you tested it..(no offense ..you should consider the hi-flo cat from Bonez)...and after you go for a real good drive..like high rev drivin..make sure the tank has about 2-3 gallons of fuel in it..then throw 1 gallon of denatured alcohol into the tank(Home Depot..paint store)..JUST BEFORE YOU TEST...(add it around the corner from the test station..)..it will create oxygen ..burn cleaner..NOTE..you have to fill the tank up after you get out of the test..as the mix is a little harsh on the fuel system...Search J-Rat's recipe on the forum..it will give you some info on this ..if you don't pass..an alternative would be to find a MEET..where you can bring your car and talk face to face with someone who can look at your car to give you tips ..I wish you luck..
