K as I stated earlier I would post the Washington State DOL Limits for smog testing

Cruise Limit-
HC= 150 (I was 150)
CO= 1.1% (I was .04%)

Idle Limit-
HC= 220 (I was 3072 lol)
CO= 1.2% (I was 8.55%)

I have just about everything done to my car:
850 pri 1600 sec injectors
AEM EMS
RX6 single turbo (running 18psi)
DP, midpipe with muffler
FMIC
Removed all EGR related stuff

On test day, I just bolt the stock cat back on and run a hose directly fro the air pump into the cat. Do not drive around this way, this is for the test only, I just drive to the test station let them run the test and go home, pass every time. My numbers are as low as a Honda Civic. :-)

I don't know about Oregon, but you couldn't do that in Cali....you have to pass a visual inspection before they even put your car on the dyno.

Visual inspections are only done up here in WA if you fail and have a certified emissions shop make repairs and then fail AGAIN on your retest. If you pass the visual inspection you will be given a waiver.

replace your cat with a brank new OEM cat. they are expensive but considering the car is roughly almost 15 years old, id bet you need a new one

I am having similar problems... Mazdatrix says on there website that if HC and CO are high and won't pass smog, the ACV is the culprit. From the look of your numbers this may be your problem. What are the numbers for NOX? Does the exhaust smell of fuel like it running rich?

You can check both the Airpump and the ACV. Read the "Secondary air injection" section in the FSM. I removed the ACV to check and found that the vacuum line to my Pressure regulator control S. V. was disconected (Never hooked up by the shop that just rebuilt my engine). I'm in the process of hooking it all back up.

The last read out I got do not show a NOX#. See PDF File. I will check both the Airpump and the ACV. tonight.

CO STD (Says 1 which is a %) and HC STD (shows 220) should be the limits. Very similar to WA limits. You weren't too far off @2500rpm for HC. Your biggest problem was at idle, just like mine. And there's a lot of CO in your exhaust (3.? and 4.? %)...

try throwing the stock ecu back. IIRC isnt the M2 ecu very conservative no matter how the car is driven ie boost, cruise etc?

The stock ecu was reprogramed by M2. I only have the 1 ecu, no spares.

M2 does not alter the cruise or idle maps anyway.

I'm still guessing it's the ACV.

I think I found the problem, the gaket between the ACV and the LIM was leaking. The round oneway valve between the ACV and LIM was not centered. I did a vacum test on both valve and they are working correctly. After replacing the gasket I'll know for sure, if I did find the problem or not.

I would have never found this without the help of the the forum. Thanks everyone.
