so tonight was an eventful one...
I had just swept out the garage after finishing up my DP and ProfecBII boostcontroller install, loaded up and went out to set down some boost.
After one smoking start up(PB penetrator burning off can be a bit unnerving) and a bit of 2000 rpm revs everything looked good for the road test. I spent 20 minutes getting the basics of the controller then began to play a bit... boost response sucks when I ease into it(leak somewhere?) but when I spin those turbos right - say 3rd to 2nd or go WOT from 1st to 2nd, no warnings from the boost controller... all I can say is OMG.... I've enjoyed her now for 4 years stock(CB/intake) from 34K to now 49,987miles(almost... I know.) added the DP/BC and I all can seem to say is OMG.
I was out running still tinkering the controller and after one of these 0 point sideways u-turns(she slides nice) I came down off 4th and on the brakes midway through my deceleration theres 4 county mounties waiting for me and everyone else. 67 in a 45... ticket dropped to 55 in a 45... cool, but still a ticket.
Anyhow I think the cop liked my ride. He didnt say so, but you can always see it in the eyes.
I was flying solo trying to respect other cars as always and was running like this when it was quiet out(in my lane). The ossifers had one cop standing with a radar trap and 4 cars lined up. they snagged me and a few others in the 8 or so minutes I was there. ohh dwell... The irony of it all is that I didnt have the performance OMG or get my boost figured out until the home stretch...
