Factory dual oil cooler fittings question

Does anyone know what fittings the factory coolers take ? basically wanting to replace the hardlines with some -10an hoses, so need to know what adaptor I need between the hose and the oil cooler inlet/outlets,

thanks

for the oil coolers you need a 22mmx1.5 to -10AN fitting adapter.

You will need 3 of these if you plan to keep the stock line from the oil pedestal to the oil cooler. If not then you need 4.

Yes, but finding a banjo adapter is hard. I'm currently looking for one. I think I found it but I'm waiting on confirmation. I'm also tring to find out if I can just get ride of the banjo fitting and put a 18mmx1.5 to -10 AN fitting (just like the front cover) and run a -10 AN line that way.

oh sweet,

Thanks for that, is -10an necessary of -8an enough ? obviously in the interest of cost.

thanks

Well on the oil pedestal you can use the same fitting as the front cover. One thing though, if I'm reading that thread up there right, the front cover is a tight fit if you have AC. Apparently the pully gets in the way. So I found a banjo fitting that will work on either side (front cover and oil pedetal). So I plan on using this fitting at least in the front cover.

good find hondas, the price on pegasus has gone up and is now 240 dollars for all the parts that howard has, I'm looking to do what you're doing in the near future myself, but I'm not sure if that 10 feet of hose for Howards right up includes the hose from the oil filter pedestal to the driver's side cooler. I don't think so since, as hondas pointed out, you need an extra fitting that howard doesn't have listed.

I'm planning to get 15-20 ft of hose. I price Summit and Pegasus and they both come out about the same. I'm replacing my oil coolers and going with -10 line and external thermostat so I'm looking at about $650.

10ft will be enough if you are not changing the line from the oil filter pedestal to the cooler.

I do want to do that one, any idea on the lenght (I would check except that my motor is completely disassembled and I'm not sure where that particular piece of pipping is currently at)

I would wait till your engine is in so you could have a better idea how long you need your hoses to be.
