Factory airfoil wiper IS a must!

I had trouble finding the metric refills for the stock wiper arms a while back, so I put on some ANCO replacements.......the first time I drove at speed (above 80 mph) in the rain, I noticed that the driver's wiper was totally ineffective. I had finally found a replacement insert and installed in on the stock wiper with the "airfoil" and there is a world of difference.
Kudos to Mazda's engineers for once again designing functionality into the form of the car, be it a lowly wiper arm!

Whoa, you drive over 80mph in the rain?
Your much braver then I am, either that or you got kick *** tires and can handle drifting/sliding in the rain.

Anyways, I just replaced my windsheild wipers yesterday with Bosch Micro Edge Excel wiper blades and they seem to be very good, infact they are the best wiper blades I have ever put on a car although the other ones I have tried were all peices of crap, they would streak and chatter and some just did not work.

I don't make it a habit, driving fast in the rain....but I had to pass a REALLY long line of custom cutters with their combines and tractors and trailers and all that, so I punched it up a bit. The tires on my car are Goodyear Eagles, they do seem to have great grip in the wet, for that matter.....

i hit 150 on an open stretch of open highway and tried to use the wipers to get the bugs off my windshield. For the record, the wipers are ineffective at 150 and they were the reason i backed off.

i only drive roughly 45-55 in the rain, and the raindrops move by themselves up and over my car from the airflow/stream. I guess its the great aerodynamics to blame, or Rain-Ex

I don't know why this made me laugh so much, but it did.

yeah, I'm thinking about taking my wipers off entirely. And relying on rain-x

You know, you can buy these expensive PIAA wipers that don't have the wing thing, and are supposed to not lift at high speeds.. I'm thinking about trying them out.

I have been at 150+ a few times and each time the wipers begin to float off the glass right around 150 even if they are not on. Kids, don't try this at home.

Stock wipers + Rain-X = wonderful clear windscreen!

It's a must when you drive daily.

Will the Bosch wiper inserts fit on the stock wipers? My wiper blades need replacing and I'm hoping to find something better-than-stock that will work with the stock wipers.

The most important thing for good wiper performance is to keep the glass very CLEAN and Lots of RAIN-X, I love that stuff, makes the water just slid right off!

PS I use the TRICO "Exact Fit" replacment blades and they work great.
