Thank you for pointing out the obvious. I know that had something to do with it. I am just trying to figure out what is broken.

Not the hoses-----change the sensor itself, you could have fried the sensor or the cable. What you described in the other thread is EXACTLY how a malfunctioning MAP sensor looks----Datalogit chart will show a flatline.

Try someone else's map sensor. If not check the wiring

have you done a compression test.

I hope your PFC isn't fried. I just did similar thing last night I actually hooked up my bat erminals backwards and blew the 120amp main fuse! Yeah, I know I'm a DUMBASS...

cowsniperRX7, Do you have a datalogit? Maybe your maps in the PFC got erased or corrupted due to the electrical mishap. If that's possible, I'd do a caompare of your maps before and after.

Jeff: I havent yet checked the compression. It runs fine while i am driving it and i accelerate mildly. I will try to swap my map sensor out for Bens.

jpandes: the PFC is not the problem. I swapped out my PFC with another one and it did the same thing. My maps were not erased.

injectors arent leaking on his car. When he revved it to 3k at a standstill inj. duty was 41% so theyre purposefully dumping in fuel, not leaking it.

Not one blew. I checked all of them and replaced a few just to be sure. They all were fine though.

There is one guy on the forum that had his car literaly filled with gas because his one of his injectors was grounded "on".

Could you have pinched something while you were under the UIM and shorted something under there?

i couldnt have said it better myself.

I actually did check for that. I looked inside the piping and nothing was full of gas. It didnt even smell like gas.

so lets recap ,running rich:
injectors
fpr
ubstruction in fuel line
did you do the compression check ?
did you try the stock computer already ?
map sensor
is tps calibrated right (or did it move)?

i think that should be basically the list you should go through,i am not familliar with the pfc (is it a piggy back or full stand alone),if its a piggy back use only youre stock computer if it keeps screwing ,you might have fucked the stock ecu up

If the PFC is showing atmospheric pressure under all run/load conditions then it's either not plumbed up right or it's failed or the wiring is messed up.

To confirm this, hook up a hand pump and pressure gage to the MAP sensor and watch the output voltage (key on, motor off) to see if it varies when you change the pressure.

wait, my car is having very similar problems. Although, I am street ported, and completely stock otherwise. From what people say, that seems to be the problem because I dont have a fuel computer, but I was under the impression that having the stock ECU wont make my exhaust glow red, and bog the hell out at low RPMS, and respond worse than a civic... Let alone waste gas like its goin outta style. There is a check valve that goes to the MAP sensor, and has an arrow on it. Does this thing flow both ways? is there a proper direction for it to flow? And where is the proper location for its vacuum line? its hooked up under the manifold, Im just not sure if its the right place for it...I dont mean to steal this thread, but it sounds like a lot of you guys are able to diagnose problems rather well. I made another thread about my problem here, but suggestions ranged in compression tests, to boost gauges, to getting a PFC because of the port. Can someone categorize the information in a clear and concise manner?

try the map sensor

it worked for me. a bad map sensor will do the same thing to a stock ECU.

ok, so my next question is, just replace the thing? or is there some way to figure out if its bad? I'm not even sure its vacuum line is hooked up to the right place, and the little check valve is faced in the right direction, etc etc. Help?
