extra wire after vacuum job???

hello everyone, I just finished the vacuum job on my 94 RX7, but I got one extra wire doesn't know where to go. Can someone please help? thank you.

I'm not positive, but I believe that might go to the coolant temp sensor on the driver's side upper corner of the rear iron.

Looks to me like you need a new engine wiring harness pretty badly.

thank you for your replied, are u talking about the single wire that is for water thermo switch to the fan with black/red? i have that one connected so i don't think that was it. Yes, I do need a new harness bad! everything i touched just fall apart!

what harness is it connected too? I tried looking for it in the wiring diagram but didn't find it. maybe this will help you out.

this wire is inside the same loom as the ground wire that connect on top of engine.
I also have check into the FSM wiring diagram but i can't find that wire at all. This is a closed up picture maybe this will help. thank you

Goodfella is right, it goes to the water temp sensor for the dash gauge. It is located right under the oil pressure sender unit, close to the spark plugs.

I found it!!

Yes you are right! I found the sensor that is below the oil filter, in between spark plug and oil pressure sensor (I think). Thank you very much for your help, can't wait to get this car running again.

you might want to consider a new or good condition wiring harness here in the future because that thing is gonna start to give you hell very shortly.
