Experienced Only Please FPD Questions

Any opinions on this? How has it worked out for you if you've done this? Or if you haven't done it what is the reason for not and how many miles on your FPD? Also, do those of you with aftermarket FPRs assume that those have the FPD in them?

Thanks for any input

I don't think it's a very good idea to eliminate the FPD, if you do a search, this has been discussed at great length.

Putting in one of these is on my list of things to do.

i did it with the K2rd eliminator and it works fine for me. then again my fd is stock with stock boost levels and im nto running like 20+psi boost like some other guys are. that mod does seem possible but i dont trust my self to drill and tap it perfectly (im very afraid of fuel leaks) so i just went with the K2RD one. well that and i did not know about this mod till you posted it

what you might want to do is to take it down some place and have the end tig welded on nicely to make 100% sure there are no leaks

i've ran without a pd on my FC for a while (20,000). The larger the injectors the worse it gets.

It's more popular in the FC's. I'll be doing this soon for my FD since it leaks.

I think a crush washer would be fine. Most of the fittings such as banjo only have a crush and this is threaded also.

I prolly wouldn't use the teflon tape but a crush washer instead.

Alright guys thanks. This is how I felt on it before I saw this website.
Mine has 54k miles on it now and I'm running a serious single turbo setup on my daily driven (only car) fd. I'm not really worried about starting a fire as much as running lean at high boost and hurting the engine. I have 1600s and 850s and at times will run 22psi. I suppose I should be replacing this part very soon before it breaks as to not take any chances. This is the only thing I didn't replace in my car.
