Experience from MSD Blaster 2 coils?

What does the Aem cost?
dude, youre looking at QUITE a bit of money there. the fc1000 amps are nowhere near the amp that the rotary pro pak is. the pro pak is like 350 or something a piece!!! if you get the aem amp you can run the entire stock ignition system safely and YOU WONT HAVE TO CHANGE ANY COILS!!! thats about 325 or something. i think its a good deal and YES, thatll support your horsepower goals.

I did my setup long before the AEM unit came to market and I wasn't gonna spend another $120 on a 3rd stock L coil. Plus, I spent $$ on other bits and pieces to make it happen. AEM would be a less costly and easy route for sure.

I´m thinking of going Jacobs amps and coils. 2 coils and 2 amps, thats 350$ and packs quite the punch. Enough for at least 480-500hp.

The LX91 coils cost about $50 per coil at www.summitracing.com

Should i replace all 3 coils with 4 LX91 coils. Or just replace the 2 trailing coils?

I'm sure the coils are compatible. However, I need to find out the voltage output of the LX91 coils. The AEM says it is a 540 vdc output. If the LX91 coils are 1:100 then they should put out 54,000 vdc of spark...but I need to find out if the LX91 coils can handle that kind of spark.

And the MSD blaster coil can deliver 45.000 vdc of spark.
So that shoul be about 76.500... now thats alot...

I guess I will be doing 4 coils then. Just gotta go buy a V-8 make your own spark plug wire kit and find a place to mount and I'm all set.
I should've mentioned this earlier; Chris Ott of www.RX7.com says they find the FC1000 to be the least problematic amp on the market. I got mind ordered, shipped, and installed just in time to go to Rotary Revolution. As an aside, their Captain America racer utilizes four ProPacks.
