Dude search. There is alot of info.

In celsius

95 is good
105 is getting hot
110 is hot.
120 your engine is toast.

I like keeping my engine 85 - 95.

ex. temperature?

maybe you should think a little before you decide to post a ******** comment.

He is asking a simple question and the search function blows on all forum sites unless you know the exact name of the thread.

To OP Im not sure what the safe temp is but im sure someone will chime in with an answer

An older thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/rotary-car-performance-77/average-exhaust-temps-rotary-325235/

Keep in mind that the temps are dictated by the probe location. i.e. you cannot compare temps if your probe is not located in the same area as what has been posted.

really depends on the probe location and what position the throttle is at.

I think most try to keep it less than 1800 at idle. (this is with the temp probe about 1/2 inch from the exhaust port)

You have got to be kidding me. How do you figure that? I told him to try the search and I gave him an answer to what I thought was the last part of his question. It would have been different if the OP stated that he searched already but that wasn't the case. The problem with simple questions is that they get asked alot. These questions have a tendency to clog forums. You're also incorrect about the search, the exact name of the thread is not needed. There is a pull down under the advanced search that is set to entire post by default.

I'm glad you found what you were looking for blue.

Also, I could have sworn the subject was ex temp when I checked last night. Weird.

I see around 1200 to 1300 cruising on the highway, and 1400 to 1500 Peak readings when redlining it at ~15 psi boost. Readings in F, probe in downpipe about 2 inches from the turbine housing. If your probe is in the exhaust manifold add around 150 to my numbers.
