Exhaust Smells

I have a fully open exhaust with a single turbo downpipe, midpipe and catback system..
Evertime I drive my car I get out smelling like exhaust fumes. You guys with similar exhaust setups, is this normal? Would putting my cat back on eliminate the problem? I already had the car tuned with an open exhaust, so would reinstalling the cat change things drastically?

Thanks,

If your car is mapped to open exhaust it will change some when a Cat is returned to the system.

As for the smell, yes, it's kind of like working on a riding lawnmower or something, it runs rich and you smell like gas. A cat on will filter some of that out without stealing much power from you, if hardly any.

Get used to your straight thru exhaust setup. You need to retune if you put the cat back on.

You need to take fuel out of the maps.
