Mild steel would be fine.

Aluminum doesn't hold up to the heat very well, although the exhaust has cooled quite a bit by the time it gets downstream.

Thanks !

I'll go with stainless steel then. Don't feel like blowing bigger hole in the restrictor with the heat from the turbos

Will 1mm stainless steel plate hold the heat or will it gradually melt away or something ? Should I go with 2mm plate ?

Installed stainless steel, 8mm thick and with diameter of 52mm. I have no problems controlling boost with ProfecB now.

1" = 25.4mm.
