Funy you bring that up.. I was just asking TTT about them

I was thinking of ordering Jegs part #176-3di03r Thats 3 disks for street use.. Im gonna use 2 sets of those and see how it goes.. Maybe i can just run a 3"tail section without a muffler...

Pressurized, you can make one your self. Or get a machine shop to make them. Use the gasket as a template.

I had some made out of 14 gauge stainless steel.

The best thing to do to control creep is to port the wastegate .

How about this part from SummitRacing.com....part FLO-R3025 ....I wonder if that would work.....

SAINT, how exactly do you port a wategate, I would probably have to do it myself, the only rotary shop is 5hours away.

Want2Race,

I guess that would work, but it looks pretty permanent if you weld it in place, or rivet it there. What if you eventually port the wastegates?

A restrictor plate is temporary, start with a small ID and go larger.

And much cheaper. You could get a machine shop to make you 10 for the price of the piece from Jegs.

Porting the wastegate is a matter of taking a grinder and grinding the wastegate orifice larger, but not beyond the edge of the flapper door that blocks it off. You can also smooth out a lot of the sharp edges of the turbo housing. It took about 15-20 minutes of grinding to get it done.

I am not doing this for backpressure... I have an oversided wastegate.. I intend to do this because it does not reduce power but it reduces noise! So if i can run quiter I would be happy.. Im not into a loud exhaust @ all...

Ah I see. Well it should work then. I installed an XR-1 for noise, but it is quite bit more expensive than the piece from Jegs, and as permanent. My bad.

Let me know if it works.

ek9220ps: is there an EVC specifically for the RX7? Where did you order it from?
Do you have to get it welded to a pipe and use it as a flange? Where will you be running the cable?

Let us know how it works. A very interesting idea.

I also saw that product on the apex site...has anyone used it? I'd like to use it for noise reduction when I go mp...concerned if the thing will melt or not...if it will...do you think ceramic coating would help?
