Exhaust Leak

Alright, I just put on a new exhaust with two new gaskets (muffler/cat and cat/downpipe). I cleaned the surfaces prior to sticking in the new gaskets. I get it all tightened up and the stupid things are leaking. Exhaust goop everyone has told me is a waste on new gaskets(only makes for removing years later much easier). Is there any use of me putting some exhaust goop on and using the same gaskets or do I need new ones again. Anyone have some advice? Getting excited to have it back on the road

Problem solved, put on some exhaust sealant and then painted around the exhaust pipes, sounds much better and no "puffs" of air. yay
