just got done putting in reman. car starts and idle's fine but it sounds like a dirt bike. used all new gaskets and torqued everythind down right. smoke comes from the whole turbo area. no smoke from downpipe. anything i can look for before i take the turbos back off.

 

could be oil on the turbos burning off. how long did you let the engine run? and how long was it smoking? did it happen right at start up or after it was warm?

 

sounding like a dirt bike sounds way off. perhaps you didn't tighten a bolt or two as tight as it should be.

 

its not oil burning off. downpipe was leaking but put precat back on still have same dirt bike noise and smoke. every nut is torqued down. guess ill pull everything back off again.

 

can someone please tell me why my reman sounds like that large bridge port video. im pretty sure it is a large exhaust leak. i have some cracks on the manifold but they are internal. is there something on the turbo manifold that could leak and cause this much noise and smoke.

 

Mine made a similar noise, just to find out that I broke the air supply line to the cat. It sounds just like a 2 stroke engine.
