Question Excess Pressure in Gas Tank?

Several months ago, my SX external fuel pump gave out on my car. Luckily, I was just sitting at a light and not boosting 13 psi as I was just moments earlier. Anyways, my mech. came up with a cool dual internal pump setup and the car runs great now with no noise at all unlike the old NOISY SX pump. Since then, whenever I remove the gas cap, it will vent pressure from the tank for at least 10 if not 15 seconds depending on how fast I unscrew the cap. Is there a problem with this? Obviously, if there were an open flame close by when I do this, serious problems could occur, but I didn't know if there would be any performance issues because of this. Just wondering...
