everybody wants a piece of an FD

wow, i went for a drive (a little street cruising) and EVERYBODY with a sportscar was wanting to race or something. i'm almost blind from all the hi-beaming... i mean everybody from CRX's to mustangs and Vipers to even a ferarri. i was like, WTF? what's with everbody? oh yeah, i also got the nod of approval from several other FD owners, some Spirit R's and some other FD's...

Spirit Rs are as common as Civics here in California. Almost as common as twin turbo FDs.

I dont think so. Spirit R's are right hand drive, and cannot be registered in the US.

Only 1500 RX-7 Spirit Rs were produced as the last run of the RX-7s in 2002, all are right hand drive and have factory installed Sparco seats with 18" BBS wheels.
And what was the last year RX-7 that maded to the U.S. pray-tell??
What kind of crack are you on?? More common than Civics??

and sorry to burst your bubble, but 1. theres absolutely 0 spirit Rs in the US of A. the entire S7's have been deemed unlegalizationable(if thats a word) for the united states, and for you lame brains, thats 1996 and up. not only that, but you just dont see multiple FD's, a ferrari, a car that doesnt exist the USA, mustangs, and vipers on a little "street cruise"

LOL

by the way Otaku, I need to mention that we're all cocky bastards when it comes to cars. mostly cause a lot of the guys on here can take down most of anything on the road.

Spirit Rs were never made in the US. the cars you saw were regualr rx7s with spirit R badging and upcrades. the one way to prove their car is a sprirt R is to ask them to show you their identification plate (it is this little metal plate that sits in the well of the door when you open it), every spirit r made had this identification plate to show what number out of the 1500 produced it was.

Id say everyone raised the BS flag on this one.
Lol, especially with lovely "spirit R's are as common as civics" rimark.
Who says that? anyway, people do seem to like an FD challenge. I will agree that lots of people seem to want a piece.

><

When I was driving my FD about 5 days ago(beautiful day) I saw 5 FD's, 2 ferari's, 1 lamborghini, and 2 vipers(mind you this was a 2.5 hour drive, I just had a new clutch installed and wanted to put some miles on it).

But really I see these cars probably 1 or 2 every day, I see newer aston martins/ rolls royce more often than any of them.

Well, someone had to state the obvious for him. I'm not one to be sarcastic with someone who lacks knowledge about our cars...it's fun sometimes, yes, but at some point they just need a straight forward answer. Besides, you can't always tell when someone's being sarcastic online, especially when you don't know a lot about what they're talking about.
