Eratic boost/idle

I am having an eratic boost condition. The car will boost fine in some situations, but then it will only boost to .2 bar, and then you will hear a strange peeewww sound and then it will sometimes boost normal again, but not always. I had the same problem before I replaced the turbos. I have got an Apexi AVC-R and '99 spec turbos.

I am also experiencing an irregular idle. It sometimes idles at 1800 rpm, 800 rpm, and everywhere in between. It will also hunt at times as well. I have checked all my vacuum lines and they seem to be fine.

Any help would be appreciated. I want to have it in good operating condition for the new buyer.

have you checked the intercooler hoses and clamps? check before/after the y-pipe and at the intercooler. that might explain the sound.

no idea on the idle though. list your mods.

The sound comes after you let off the gas.

I just found my idle problem and it was the ISC was sticking and doing weird ****. Idle would bounce and the car was hard to keep running when it was cold. I unplugged the ISC onthe back of the UIM and evreything is good!Just something to check.
