Engine, turbo, clutch = screwed?

Okay, I know i'm supposed to do a search and all that crap, but i'm pissed, slightly buzzed, just got hit on by some 40 year old skank-*** woman and checked out by a couple gay guys, and quite frankly, I don't wanna do a stinkin' search!

Ahem...anyway. On my way to grab some food and drink after work, been driving normally, engine warmed up, running fine - changing highways, punch it in 2nd at 40 mph, hits 6500 rpm, engine cuts (meaning i lurch foward against my belt), BIG puff of smoke in my rear view mirror, car starts running like ****.

Even flooring it, my RPMs would increase, but the car wouldn't accellerate, although OCCASIONALLY i could get it to go enough to keep it going down the road. more than light throttle wouldn't do anything, though.

i can hear my blow off valve emitting sputtering spurts of air, i can hear my primary turbo spooling, but no go and car running like ****. i finally have to slow down for a turn at a stop light, and it dies, so i coast to a parking lot. try to start it, the engine cranks, sounds like it wants to turn over, but won't. pop the hood, there's a slight bit of smoke coming up (i don't know what color - it was at 1030pm and i had to use a flashlight to see anything). no funny smells or anything, no liquids under the car.

initially, i figured my secondary turbo siezed up - it's been leaking oil and blowing smoke, and has been worse lately.

then, since the engine was running so rough, i decided it was a blown engine. still think it's probably this.

BUT, the clutch has been slipping occasionally under hard throttle, and i know they smoke when they go (or so i've heard, at least), so i'm thinking it may be that, and that's why the car wouldn't accellerate and was running rough.

car has 58, 850 miles, original clutch, engine has i think about 50k miles. intake, downpipe are the only mods. ironically, i was going to get my boost gauge installed wednesday when my vacation started, so i don't know what the boost was doing when all the **** hit the fan.

so, what's the consensus? am i totally fucked, or could it just be the clutch (even though i don't think i'm that lucky).

oh yeah...temps outside were cool (i'm guessing 50ish) and i was going uphill at the time. i have no clue if that helps, but what the hell.

one more thing....

don't know that it matters...i don't think i was blowing smoke AFTER it happened. i was looking behind me enough to see if any other cars were coming up on me and i don't recall seeing anything.

yeah, i did a search this morning and found that out. it's okay. my mechanic is pretty sure it's a blown seal, but he's not going to get a chance to dig into it until wednesday. until then, i'm evaluating my options!

Damn, only 50k miles. Have you ever overboosted it? I saw you have intake and downpipe but no ECU or fuel upgrades.

not to my knowledge. i've only had the dp for about a month, the intake for about 7 months. when i bought the car, it had some major vacuum and manifold issues, so i don't know...maybe it's been a ticking bomb since then.

on the other hand, it seems like there's a lot of FDs with blown motors around the 60k mark. I've treated it pretty well; it's the ignorant previous owners who **** em up! Shoot, the turbos were replaced at 30k miles, and at about 45k the secondary was leaking already. **** poor workmanship and lack of care.

Okay, i'm done
