Engine torque brace without a strut OK?
Sort of like a long-term follow up post. I know there are threads 5 pages long on engine braces, but I am about to buy one but I'm a tad nervous about the "stiffy" braces, i.e. the ones without a strut or any sort of dampening device. Has anyone with a stiff one installed for a while experienced cracks/stress fractures on the inner fender wall?
Also, who makes a *resonably priced* bar with a dampening device? Thanks, in advance.

For a brace with rubber bushings on each end of the link call Garfinkle in Murfreesboro Tn. 615 893 4469 , he makes the link to fit your car . The price is right .

Dan, i think the answer to your second question, about the reasonably priced braces with the dampeners, is that there are none. Feed makes them, and you'll pay pretty penny for them. I'm more inclined to pay that money for one, if I get a brace at all, since I share your concern about the stiff ones.
