Engine removal questions

I am planning to remove my engine tomorrow, and after inspection and removal of some parts I have some questions. I have never removed a motor before so this stuff is a little new to me.
First is the removal of the PS belt. I have read up on engine removal in some threads and I am supposed to loosen the tensioner to get the belt off, correct me if I'm wrong. Here is the problem, the previous owner broke this tensioner off. How do I remove the belt now?

Also Since I have a slight coolant seal leak I want to get some Marvel in the engine before it sits for a while to prevent corrosion. Can I rotate the motor when it is out of the car?
If you have any other tips on engine removal I would appreciate it.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Cut the belt off if it's old and replace the tensioner when it comes out.

It looks like the bracket is actually cracked, so I dont know if thats an option.

The only difference is that you disconnect the transmission.

I was just reading some more and most say it is easier to remove both at once (engine+trans), so you dont have all the trouble mating them again. I will also be swapping my transmission. Would i be able to mate them outside the car, for an easier job?

If you are also swapping transmissions, yes.

And yes, you can rotate the engine out of the car easy enough using the front hub bolt.

I have no connection to the seller, but he has a bracket for sale in the parts FS/WTB section. PM him to see if it would come with the tensioner...

Thanks for the part find. I looked it up and its sold already.

I think I am going to remove the engine and trans separately and mate the new trans out of the car.

Another question about the PS. I saw in a recent threadwhere they unbolted the entire PS pump from the block. I beleive in the Rotary Ressurrection guide they leave it attached. Which is easier in your opinion?

Remove the PS pulley. Behind that you'll see three bolts that secure the pump to the bracket. Remove those and use a bungee cord to secure the pump up near the brake master/firewall area out of the way. This is easiest IMO. Takes < 5 minutes with an impact and you don't have to unfasten any PS lines.
Then remove the bracket.

You can always post up a WTB thread later for that bracket and tensioner.
