Engine re build

Hey all I was looking into re building my engine, and was wondering were I should buy everything.I wanted to start out with a really strong platform. ie: new rotors , housings....etc.
Mazdatrix has everything I need would anyone recommend anything better? I just want to get everything in one shot so I can keep track.The reason why im starting fresh is to go with a big turbo instead of a reman.

Also I was wondering if mazdatrixs seals are the factory 2mm.? They just say steel 2mm. seals on their web site.
Its going to be a whole lot of $$ to do this but I think in the long run the engine will hold up well running 550 to the wheels.

I also really like this kit they have;

http://www.mazdatrix.com/studkit.htm

http://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.as...3B-STUDKIT-STD

Thanks for the info.

S4 and S6 refer to different year RX-7s..... IIRC S4 = 86-88 and S6 = 93-95....

If you are doing this yourself, you are better off buying all of your parts from Malloy Mazda (please see FAQ thread). While I think you should always use new rotor housings in a rebuild, new rotors are rarely required and are very expensive.

You can always try looking up Atkins Rotary on Ebay, they sell rebuild kits. I myself started rebuilding my block. I bought my rebuild kit from Mazdatrix because they're local. Just picked up ceramic apex seals over the weekend. I should give Ray a call for rotor housings.

mazdatrix sells oem mazda parts in 2 packages. 1 is ~$1000 for the rotor rebuild seals, the 2nd set is the "gasket set" which includes internal soft seals, including the coolant/water seals, and some external exhaust/turbo gaskets. ~$490

earlier today i talked to ray and he sells a rebuild seal set that comes with rotor hard seals and soft seals for something like $1286. however the set doesn't include gaskets like exhaust manifold or turbo etc.

i also told ray im considering pineapple upgraded water seals($185) and he is willing to remove whichever gaskets i don't need from his set.

oil pan gasket can also be taken out..

Yes, they are factory 2mm. I got everything except for the apex seals because I went with Iannetti 2mm ceramic apex seals so my kit w/o the OEM apex seals was like $721. I paid about $1,200 for my Iannetti ceramics (still getting over the fact of spending that much on apex seals). Tomorrow I pick up my new rotor housings from them
