I didn't read the whole thread, but MAP sensor?

See that the vacuum line has a good source and is free from blockage. Take the little filter thingy out of it to make sure it isn't blocking flow. Also check MAP sensor voltages to make sure they are in spec.

yea i believe they checked the MAP sensor. I did myself as well.

So today they hooked up the datalogit to it, and noticed the Voltage on the CAS were very low. like .33 and .25v when they should be around 1.60v ish. So they checked up the line from the CAS plugs and noticed a frey (sp?) in the line, they soldered it up, and we thought that would solve the volt issue, but it didn't. So there must be a split in the harness somewhere else.

Anything else that may cause low CAS volts? Tried multiple PFC's as well. So i believe thats where the problem lies is in the crank angle sensors.

So any answers or things to check that would cause this would be helpful, thanks guys.

Sounds like a new wiring harness is in your future.

 

Yea that will be the last ditch effort i guess. Do you know if you can use a USDM harness for a JDM? I don't think its possible, but i really don't know for sure.

For a similar year, I believe you can (i.e. you have the rats nest and not the black box). However, I think the US harness will be a longer so you'll have some 'extra' wire to hide. The US guys typically need to lengthen the JDM harness when they try to reuse them on JDM engine.

 

Where does the DL show CAS voltage? I'd like to check mine now...

 

No sure, but i know you can find it on the PFC aswell.

 

If you're going to go with a new harness, look for one from RHDjapan.com. I don't remember the prices, but at least you won't have to modify anything.

Thanks for the link, its 875 shipped for a new one. Not to bad, but im going to ask them today if they can just re-wire the CAS plus since those are the only ones that need any work done to them. But if i change my mind, that not a bad price for a brand spanking new harness.

SO the car lives! drives and boost's nice!

It was the CAS, they needed to re wire the entire CAS assembly right back to the ECU. im guessing somewhere when i was messing around with it in the car, or why pry baring the grommet i may have broken some wires and caused them to short. At the ECu they didn't have ANY volts. No wonder the car ran like crap. So its all done now, now i just need to install all my gauges and my Profec-II.

So i have one more question. My twins are running in parallel, and i know there is lag then, but it seems like my turbo just all of a sudden is "ON". Could this be because my Butterfly in my Y pipe is closed?

 

^^ anyone know? like it seems i wont have turbo until 3k RPM. i know thats when the secondary is supposed to turn on, so could it be possible that the butterfly is closed and only letting exhaust to the secondary turbo and not the primary at all?

 

the transition to the secondary turbo should be around 4500-5000rpm IIRC

 

Ah well i guess its just lag from the parallel twins then.
