Sorry to start up another thread, but I am curious as to what the idea is of the little metal bracket w/rubber on the ends above the engine mount is for? Is it to reduce the flex? And is it really needed?

 

Show a picture,I do not remember that part stock .How far above the motormount and what side or bothsides ?

 

i have another question related to that... would it squeak (seriously) if it starts to wear out (get old)? ive noticed an occasional sqeaking noise coming from the engine mount area.... and its not my belts. i checked tension and belt integrity and theyre fine.
