Engine goes out to Gotham on Monday
I got board and decided to clean the engine up some. The funny thing was that a few weeks after I got the car I was guessing that it did not have the original engine in it. I found the RE95 imprinted on the front rotor housing. So what I got from that is that I have a remanufactured engine from a 95. Is that rite? If that is the case I think that all I will have to pay for at Gotham is the porting and what ever else I do to it
I have just popped my motor. I will be saving some cash to sending my core to them. I want to go with the stage 3 (race street port) as well. I will aslo be upgrading to a single turbo from my stage 2 twins in non-seq. Gotham has my vote for the rebuild, although this is just from what I have heard on this forum.
So your want 400hp. Me too, well maybe closer to 500ho. Let me know what turbo you are picking? I am in the market for one that will work well with this port job. How much psi do you plan to run?
Thanks

Not to sure on what setup I will be going with just yet. I know that I want it to be ball bearing and also work very well with the new setup. I will be talking to Steve at Gotham on monday about the planes I have for the car (thats when the engine will get there). Iam taking there single turbo setup into consideration. From what it says on there site it spools pretty quick. I did not really find that much info on the board about there kits. When I talked to the guys at Gotham they said that the stage 4 takes a lot away from street driving that is why Im just going with the race street port.
I will keep you guys posted on the whats going on.

Sesshoumaru will they give you your old housings back since they use new ones?
I dont really know about that I was not told that they use a new housing. I guess that I will find out.
If I do get them back I will sell you them.

Well today I talked to the Alex at Gotham about what I have planned for the engine. He gave me the pricing and told me what he would need for a down payment to start the work. Mainly just for the gaskets and all of the other little things that the rebuild will need. So hopefully I will have the money to them by Friday so that they can get the parts and start.
Well today I got a call from David at Gotham. He told me some good and some bad news. The good news was that I was rite on the fact that the engine has at one point been rebuilt. He told me that it looked like the engine has like 20k on it since the rebuild. The bad news is that who ever rebuilt the engine they use half new parts and half of the old parts. The other bad news is that the housings need to be replaced. That means that I am going to go ahead and buy a new engine. They said that the engine would take 1 to 2 weeks to get there.
