Engine Dimensions weird question

I just need to know if I can fit the engine out of my car into the passenger side if the seat and the rest of the interior except for the dash and rear bins is gone.

Also let me know if you are talking about the engine totally stripped or not.
I think most things will be off any way but I'm not positive of that.

If not I do have a trailor hitch on my car does anyone know of anything I could rent that the motor would fit into pretty good?

I'm usually good about searching but for this one I really didn't think I was going to find anything soon.

thanks
Snook

A bare block engine will fit easily if the seat is taken out.
Should fit even with the following attached:
Oil pan without motor mounts; water pump assembly;
flywheel and clutch.

The problem will be getting in into the car since the door will be the real problem.

I agree it's a lot of space I could easily sleep in it too haha

Through the sunroof! No, hopefully we are strong enough that day to be able to slowly put it in with the door wide open. Having the door panel off should really help also.

What do you think the weight of it is with everything you mentioned except for the flywheel and clutch cause I will be taking those off. That should also help with fitment into the car.

thanks again

Remove the passenger seat - 4 b olts and takes less than 2 minutes. The engine will fit in there with accessories on it, and a bare block engine will EASILY fit in there with room to spare.

I've carried rotarys like that dozens of times in various vehicles such as FC3S RX-7, Civic, Geo, MR2.

It's actually 5 bolts; I've had mine out for months now. Didn't take me 2 minutes however since the bolts were really really in there. But the question is have you had your 3d gen motor with accessories on it in a 3d gen passenger side?

I'm pretty happy though that it appears it will fit. How much would you say it will weigh (barebone 13b)? Could 2 normal people carry it a few feet without losing a nut haha?

Nope, I haven't had a 13B-REW with accessories in passsenger side of an FD. I am pretty confident it will fit though, and am 100% sure that it will fit without the accessories on it (bare block).

Two people can carry a bare engine no problem. I've done it many times (me and a friend) and carried them as far as 40 feet without straining and I'm only 160 lbs.
I have lifted and carried one by myself, but only a few feet at a time.
