engine convert!!!! advice needed.
I do not know what to think about the rotary mechanics here in my country. There's only a handful of them here. So i'd rather ask you old timers with loads of experience with the rotary engine. Please, care to elaborate as much as you can to help me.
since my last post about my turbo problems, i have yet to find the solution about the boost irregularity. so let me start for the beginning.
The boost was never constant since i bought the car about 5 months back. Everytime i slam the throttle till red line and shift gear boost will drop to about 0.3 bar. I have to decellerate below 3000 r.p.m and full throttle again to achieve 0.8 bar of boost. So the mechanic suggested that i have an engine transplant because to identify this problem is a hassle. He said that it could be due to wiring problems, actuator problems, solenoid problems....etc. He asked me to look for a 1999 model ar later model because the newer rx-7 engine produces 280 hp compared to the 1993-98 which produces roughly around 255 hp- 265 hp. is this true? or have i been taken for a ride? besides the engine, there is no other problem with the car. This is my first rotary engine machine so i have close to zero techinical knowledge about it. So please veterans and experts.......help your junior here in a land where ROTARY engine are looked down upon.

Sounds like you have an issue with the turbo control system. This thread has some troubleshooting ideas in it which you should start with:
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/turbo-problem-first-second-gear-only-tho-677318/
As for the newer engine, the higher HP was achieved through a few changes, most noticeably the stock boost increase to 11 PSI and the ECU was upgraded. The core engine as stayed the same over the years. Simply changing out the engine only won't give you the 280 HP.
