Occasional transmission shaking and rear end?

Hey, guys, this only occurs when i'm taking off. But the rear end issue are my shocks and struts, their very bad. But my question is, could that relate to the transmission shake? Because both happen at the same time and they don't happen often. My pilot bearing also needs replacing, if that has any effect, but I was thinking towards the PPF if it wasn't the struts and shockers? I will be replacing these as soon as I get my hands on some good ones, or might just have to get coilovers. Any idea guys?

Its not so much occasional anymore... it tends to happen every time I take off... and you can really hear the pilot bearing as well...

well..you know the pilot bearing needs to be replaced, so get that done and while it's up on a lift, check out the PPF.

HMMMMM...

If you can hear it, it's probably the throwout bearing, not the pilot bearing. The throwout bearing has much more load, and is larger in diameter, and therefore is much more likely to make noise with the clutch disengaged. The pilot bearing, OTOH, can be really bad and still be almost silent.

Well, when I take off, I hear a rattle, and its fairly loud. Can a pilot bearing, make the transmission shake? I'm going to go under the car in the morning and look around... could it be the PPF? Its like a heavy shake with a lot of vibration and not much noise itself, besides the pilot bearing rattle.

Bad pilot bearing will not make the trans shake - it could lock the input shaft to the trans if it siezed, but, as I said, I don't think that's what you're hearing. A bad trans input bearing could cause a rattle, but not the shake. I think you're on the right track suspecting the PPF.
