Question Energy Conserving Oil / ZDDP Questions

Hello,

I am looking for a good oil for a stock 1993 RX-7. I know oil threads are looked down on, and I did do a search but did not find any info about energy conserving oils. I know that most oil nowadays are energy conserving but I heard they can sheer down to a lower grade easily. Is it ok to use an energy conserving oil in my RX-7 or should I be looking for one that is not energy conserving? I was also wondering how many people use a ZDDP additive in their oil or think it is necessary? I was thinking of running 10W-40 Castrol GTX (GTX is energy conserving) with no additives and calling it a day.

Thanks in advance,
Drew

I run a Diesel engine oil, more ZDDP, no need for extra additives.
