Emissions Test Results w/ DP, etc.

I just had my FD (50,400 miles) tested and passed with flying colors. I just warmed it up for a few miles on the freeway and let it idle until they took it in for testing. My mods are in my signature. Results are in the picture.

i got a question...since my time will be coming up shortly. If you have a boost controller will lowering the boost help at all with emissions by making the mixture less rich or does that not play a part at all?

Does your FD still have the air pump?

That should not affect the results unless the tester is really ham-footed and can't keep it out of boost. They only tested mine at idle and at 25 mph, so they never got into boost at all.

Actually, I wasn't surprised at all. Others with similar mods have had similar excellent results. I just wanted to reinforce the fact that even with a DP, if you have a good main cat and a properly-operating airpump, you should have little trouble passing.

In IL they do the dyno test, and they ALWAYS get HEAVY into boost on mine. Easily 7 lbs. They do a slow course, and then a fast course. In the fast course they go from about 30 up to about 55 in a pretty quick clip. Here, they WILL get into boost.

That said, with my stock 80K mile cat, air pump, dp, intake, new O2 sensor, new intake air thermo sensor... it did pass, but barely.
