Emissions Removal: Yay or Nay
While I am in the process of fixing and replacing a few items on my block, I am trying to decide if I should remove the emssions equipment (simplified sequential). In Pittsburgh, PA we have emissions but I am 99% positive a friend of mine in our club can help me out with the sticker. If worse comes to worse I will place a cat on it, and either use an electric or OE airplump plummed directly to it.
I am really not so much worried about passing and getting the sticker, but more the driving and the thought of getting caught, which I am not sure of how likly that would happen. I have not heard of anyone in my area getting pulled over and having there car checked over. Then sometimes the smell can be bothersome, so I thought if I would run the simplified sequential, I amy get a cat with no airpipe and stick on there to help mask it some.
Are there really any gain in removing all the emssions stuff (other than weight and cleanliness)?
