This man speaks te truth. Alcohol as last resort....but there is a reason why you wont pass.. Your better off finding what it is and fixing it in my opinion.

so i took the car to mazda today to find out exactly what i would need to get my hydrocarbons down for the stupid super strict ontario emissions and so far iv changed the spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, cleaned out PCV valve, new gas oil change, adjusted throttle so i have a lower idle now,and according to mazda i still need new ignition coils, wires and a new catalytic converter as well as a flush to get rid of all the built up carbon in the engine....

the tech did find a slight hesitation mid way through second gear but thinks the new coils , wires and cat will help/fix the problem, since the car is automatic( not for long) it was hard to notice it since it shifts constantly.
it seems never ending but hoping this will be the end and things will pass and work fine

Rotaries rely on oil in lubricating the engine seals. It's known that the stock oil metering pump is hardly sufficient to provide that lube alone, that's why experienced owners will "premix" 2-stroke oil with every fuel fill up.
Alcohol on the other hand is excellent cleaner, and oil is not exception.

That said, how much damage you think you will cause by not only ignoring the premixing but also making the car run on a pure alcohol?

Not sure if this will help but something to double check. Here in Nevada there are only two counties that you have to pass emisions testing. However there are excemptions such as for "classic hot rods" which they define as a 20 year old car to the date built according to the VIN. My car a 1993 was built in 1992 so I now qualify and bye bye emissions testing. Just something to look at.
