I believe it was on the Jap. RX-7's in Japan. You can get a set over at the RX7store.

The early 3rd gens were sold at Mazda Efini dealerships in Japan, so they had that special emblem. The later ones (99+ I believe) had the "winged M" logo that Mazda's currently using on all their cars.

You can get either from a number of aftermarket sources - I think they're even cheaper than the stock badges from Mazda dealerships .

That is all I have on my car for emblems and names is one Efini badge on the back.... no Mazda, no Rx-7.... "is that a Ferrari?" has been asked before. I laughed at that one....

How easy was it to take off the Mazda and RX-7 stick on name tags on the cars tail? After you did it, did the paint polish out nicely or could you tell there were stick ons there previously. Thanks for the help.

the mazda badges dont use adhesive they attach with 2 holes in the front and 2 or 3 in the rear, i forget. its hard to get off without breaking it because of the clips they use (take the bumber off) but if you dont care just pull on it hard and the posts will break off. the rx7 emblem is glued and has 3 holes. my paint looks great under the emblem but its some work getting all the adhesive off and polishing it up however i havent done anything about the holes yet.

My rear emblem was on allready but when I removed the front one, it was on with doublesided foam tape with 2 pins to align it. No polishing could remove the slight marks it left, but the efini badge will cover up pretty well all of it.

Old pic in my sig...
