Well that is reason enough to stay away. You can also go take a look at the bad business section of this forum. You can also do a small amount of research on the owner and find his multiple screen names.

Word. I like IRP and Banzai. Thankfully a client of mine has purchased facilities that would allow me to empirically test manifolds etc. If you guys would like to have it done, please PM me and we'll get it started.

Exactly! This is becoming increasingly common. I've recently noticed a number of large machining shops that are able to leverage social media to sell rotary products that either have no R&D, were actually made for a different car, or have just ripped off someone else. The smaller guys who actually care about rotaries (and more importantly, rotary owners) and are putting in a lot of thought into products cannot compete with the bigger guys who have much more expensive equipment and can run small billet jobs on the side for nothing. Buyers are none the wiser, they just see the shiny billet and cheap prices.

As a recent example, there is a machining shop here in Australia that has recently started copying all the rotary workshop billet products. They've also introduced a new FD intake adapter for series 4 and 5 RX7. There's an obvious problem with that - it can't fit both. When pointed out to the shop, they didn't have a clue and it's obvious they have no idea about the differences between different 13Bs. They'll sell lots of them and they won't fit properly but I don't think they care.

In the case of the Elite intake, they got PAC Performance in Australia as their distributor. Great marketing because PAC has dozens of 8, 7 and even 6 second cars in its stable and they'll be able to say - look at the times you can run with our products.

I like elites products except for when they flat out copy someone and say its theirs

Elite, I give much respect to you guys for all you have accomplished.

However - copying a battery box and calling it yours is just dirty.

I saw the Elite vm kit a year ago or so and didnt say anything - but I have absolute right to say something since its another copy of my old ****.

1. I sponsor Calvin Wan and my FD kits are 100% properly track tested. FC kits - well still working on updates.
2. They say their kit is track tested - with what a few races - will it stand up to drifting - not from what I see.

heres the break down on their kit since its a copy of my old kit - and why I have changed the complete design to what it is today.

1. the intercooler uses the same front and rear bracket set-up as I used to. for the back its fine but the front bracket eventually tweaks the hood latch on the upper radiator support. the front bracket will also start to tweak the front intercooler plate that it is welded to on the intercooler.

2. the koyo radiator.. side l brackets 100% like i made to support the a/c condenser. top right filler neck is my old style, however it will get in the way of air box and some filter set-ups and thats why i moved it over to the inside of the top right tank. and the lower radiator brackets were the nightmare issue of this kit. even when reinforced they still cracked. whats worse is in corners the frame flexes and the radiator post pop up out of the bracket holes. I see no lower cross brace either between them.

3. I like the ducting they provide.

So the elite is another copy of my old **** that I have modified. Just like alot of their stuff they copy and make a bit nicer.

I really like you guys alot - elite..

But seriously - seriously - have some respect in the industry.

Out of respect for other companies and especially Japan, I no longer sell copied products like aero kits and fuel rails. We made parts for other companies to sell. Rotary Extreme is all over this site - I am also the new owner since 2008 but weve been around since 2000.

real quick - Much respect to a man who knew alot of **** on here who is no longer with us - that was not my beef so please everyone who hated Rotary Extreme for that - please forgive Rotary Extreme. We pride our self on respect and love for the community and are solely in business to continue to bring original products that Rotary Extreme has created. - I love this community.

Ok the Greddy VM kit.

I EFIN LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a vm kit maker I am telling anyone that If I didnt make vm kits that would be the kit to get.

But I do make vm kits and pretty damn good ones (many FD versions) - takes a long time and im so sorry for that but you know what you get.

So the Greddy VM kit is the ****
Elite VM kit is my old kit with minor changes and with issues I have addressed.

I feel I have the right to respond as I did due to all the evidence I can prove for all the years I have been here.

Elite - I like you guys and what you do. I don't mean to crap on you. But you think you can just copy something and get away with it. Sure youll make money, but its not always about the money.

Its about the respect.
