Electronic load from fans kill my car
My car will idle fine when the fans are not on, but as soon as they kick on the idle drops to 400rpm and then the car slowly dies out.
I am guessing that there is a electronic load sensor that is meant to kick the idle up to copensate for the extra load put on by the alternator.
Could this be the faulty component or should I look else where for the cause?
I am runnig a PFC if that makes any difference.

did you let the pfc "learn" the idle?
Supposedly you have to let the car idle for a while w/out any accessories on, then with the fan, then with AC, and finally with both fan and AC...try it!
Hope this helps

Yeah, I have done that a couple times. The problem is that it dies when the fans come on. So it makes it impossible for the ECU to learn to adjust to it cause the engine ceases to run.
