Electrical problem?
Hello everyone!
I haven't posted much on this site before, been on the mazdarotary forum for a few years!
I was hoping someone my be able to help?
Here I go.. Sorry its an FD3S
Car is 400+ miles into a new rebuild, have been running it in at 3k maximum.
The other morning the car cut out after about 14 miles driving, had it recovered home, noticed on the Commander that the water temp and air temp display drops out and shows ---- when the car is above 90 degrees c.
Also I cannot rev the car above 3k it pops and bangs and backs off before stalling?
I know you guys are all very busy but any help and your time will be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks
Duncan

Maybe after rebuild you have damage the emission harness or you have cut a wire.
Check the 4D wire from ecu.
For ntr is just a switch you can check it on trany or check if you have plug the connector , damage on connector etc.
Be notice that pfc is not fused on outputs so if you have made any short circuit maybe you have damaege and pfc.
If you still have the oem ecu try to ride the car and see if you still have problems.

That's what im thinking, its the original loom, and a lot of it is brittle!
The guys that have done the rebuild have said to get it to them to fix but it won't drive for more than 10 mins, will have to sort a trailer out!
