FL Electrical Connector Air Pump NLA

The connector to the air pump just crumbled in my hand.

Ray says they are no longer available.

Anyone found a replacement or other idea?

Thanks,

I had the same issue. Due to the heat most connectors are brittle. I got the two pole replacements from here:

I used the Tyco ones. If your careful you can reuse the metal pins and just reinsert them. If not get a couple of pins with the connector and you can just crimp them on the wire (need the special tool).

In the FS section Japan2La (I think) is selling a bunch of low-mileage airpumps with mint connectors for a very good price. That might be an alternative.

That connector is only a ground/positive. You can easily use something else more durable that wont heat stress like the stock connector. There's a ton of options out their. Found this with a quick google search.

Nice thing is the Airpump circuit is so simple you wont have to worry about matching the colors to the factory diagram. It wont matter because all the ecu does is ground the air pump.

most auto parts stores have generic 2 position connectors for male and female. some hardware stores also carry tyco or GM weatherpak style connectors.

basically you do NOT need to keep the original factory style connector unless you are super **** retentive.

Thanks for all the input.

Gonna look for some generic but heat resistant connectors.
