electric airpump?

is this the airpump? it was next to the alternator were, i think, the airpump goes.

Fd's have belt briven smog pumps. Not sure what that thing goes to.

i was wondering if this is an aftermarket airpump of some kind, i think it is, it goes to the big pipe on the LIM

That looks like an electric airpump from a Corvette. Your airpump probably took a dump and the previous owner found it easier or cheaper to use the Corvette one.
