is this the airpump? it was next to the alternator were, i think, the airpump goes.

Fd's have belt briven smog pumps. Not sure what that thing goes to.

looks like an air pump.

That looks like an electric airpump from a Corvette. Your airpump probably took a dump and the previous owner found it easier or cheaper to use the Corvette one.

^ Yeah, I was going to say, I know GM uses electric air pumps...

That isn't a stock FD part, for sure.
