EGR valve and solenoid question

I think I know the answer but just want to make sure. I have a JDM engine and theres no EGR. Since im going to be running with no EGR would the ECU throw a CEL for the missing solenoid? Im assuming it will but is there a way to get around it? Thanks.

If you have a Cali ECU,you will get codes. Otherwise, you won't get codes. Find out what ECU you have by the part number on it. There are threads that explain the different stock ECUs.

I actually bought a 93 federal ecu. To my understanding they don't have egr sensors. But still have egr in general. So I believe a solenoid is present.

I say no codes with fed ecu.

When i bought my Cali car, it had a cali harness, and an automatic cali ecu. It was a manual transmission by the way, and had a standard federal EGR. I was getting all kinds of codes. I had to get a Cali Manual ECU, and an electronic EGR to stop the codes. The connector for the EGR from the harness was just dangling there when I figured it out.
