Efini RX7 or Mazda Efini RX7?
In J-Spec form, is the RX7 known as the the Mazda RX7 Efini or just plain Efini RX7?

The guy I bought mine from called it a Mazda RX7 Efini, they're hard to understand, an hard not to laugh

it was efini up until it got the mazda wings badging then it was sold under the mazda name only

Efini was to Mazda in Japan what Lexus is to Toyota in the US. You went to the Efini dealer and bought the Efini car.

You don't call it a Toyota Lexus LS400 .

It's just efini. In Japanese it's pronounced like Enfeni with a French style pronunciation of the En. All the parts have mazda stamped on them though. Just the badges and the actual car itself are efini.

Mazda Efini Rx-7

the title Efini in japan wasn't introduced until FD3S. which is why the badging for "Efini RX-7" is so unique to 3rd Gens only.
